Our adult and children’s choir often sing, and once a month our Bell Choir, the Alleluia Ringers, performs. We have several congregational hymns, usually accompanied by piano and/or organ, and drums. There is a time with children (called the “Word for All Ages” because it really includes everyone) and a sermon. Communion is celebrated roughly every 6 weeks.
Everyone is welcome – from a week old to a hundred and beyond! Children and adults worship together for approximately the first 20 minutes of the service, and then children are invited to go to Sunday School although they are welcome to stay in worship if they would prefer. No one minds an occasional cry, or comment, or wiggly child – we are all part of the family of God! We also have the opportunity to worship all together about 7 times a year when we have intergenerational worship. On these Sundays children remain in the worship service, which is a bit shorter than usual and full of drama, music, and movement to keep their interest.
